M. Bruce Burnham
Bruce brings a strong combination of over 10 years in the transportation industry and a passion for business to the team at Resource Partners North America. Creative thinking and strong problem solving skills initially led Bruce toward a career in the field of chemistry and won him a scholarship to The University of Georgia. It was while in Athens that he discovered his true passion for the world of business. Over the course of the next four years, Bruce used the same traits that led him down his initial career path to develop, launch and handoff two separate businesses in two different fields. One of which, with his continued assistance, has grown to a sizeable and well respected commercial contractor, securing contracts from several Fortune 500 companies.
Startup money for this business was secured by working part time on the dock for Roadway Express. No stranger to the transportation industry after years of visiting his father, a 20 year veteran, at the office, this was Bruce’s first real taste of the world of logistics. A short time after leaving Athens he accepted a full time management position with Roadway Express and within three years became the youngest Operations Manager in the 70+ year history of the company. His experience with “LEAN” management principles and “Employee Engagement” strategies, along with his operational experience and lateral thinking are valuable assets to the RPNA organization.
In 2007, Bruce joined forces with David Johnston to form Resource Partners North America, LLC. RPNA provides cutting edge transportation and logistics technology and consulting, with an emphasis on world-class service.
